Carnage and New World?
Ok, I dont want to raise too much dissent or confusion on the main board, but I'm torn about Carnage or the New World...
I want to keep SH together, but I also want to have fun building and defending a new city on the new world, presumably under OSC... I know what a time sink just one world would be, and I don't want to do both... so Carnage I guess
I'm wondering what to do, also. I'd like to leave my characters in limbo and check out the new world first, but that's not a practical logistics point when we need to have a decision as a guild when that time comes. CyDin will go to Carnage (unless plans change) and I'll leave my free-roaming alter-ego to decide later.
Here's one concept: Mains on carnage because they're already leveled and can be effective in combat there. Alts on new virgin server to have fun exploring a new land. We can probably even form a Silverhand guild on the new server if we have enough that want to roll alts there. If we split the guild's play-time up, it will be hard for us to build a town, but I don't see that as critical.

How about mains to Carnage with a small tree and forge to sell at, but no real major time sink. If we don't have to focus on building a large town(s) on carnage then it will be fun to have mains there as a sub to -Tempest-. We can focus on being an offensive unit and not worry about town building. I actually like the new spot and will be happy in that town.
Make alts on new server (I'm going to the brand new, no treachary/scorn toons shard) and sub to OSC and build new TOSH town. At some point in the future I'm assuming inter-server travel will be available so... As long as we dont have to focus on town upkeep and building on 2 servers, I think it can work.

Sounds like a good way of playing - although I think Ruffy will be sad to have us mostly on the Virgin Server (although, wait, didnt she say was coming too?)
I would say we dont even try to go it alone from OSC - stay a guild, but lets just concentrate on having fun? I dunno, will be harder to recruit without a town and pretty baubles to give to Newbies, but ...

Whatever needs to happen for the happiness of my guildies is cool with me . Plan A. for me is to get a couple of my toons off Scorn/Treachery and onto Carnage. That leaves me with two toons in limbo cause I have no freaking idea where to stick them...up Ubi's ass has crossed my mind once or twice . I am going to buy the expansion and create a spanky new toon on the virgin server just because I want to see it for myself. I am very leary about taking any of my ponies to the 'not so virgin' server, I think it's gonna be one big killing fest, not my cup of tea at all. Beyond that, I haven't a clue. All of the aforementioned is of course subject to change until we know just what UbiBoobie is REALLY going to do.
