Broken and Battered, but Unbowed (May 7, year 311)
Consciousness slowly swam back to Issac. Searing pain ripped along his body, but that was usual and did not worry him unduly. He opened his good eye and tried to take in his surroundings. He vaguely remembered the battle against Pesar's apprentice, but as from a great distance. He seemed to be draped over rubble in the heart of a crater, but again, this was not strange. Most of the battles Issac was involved in ended in a similar manner, the stress of casting usually blasting him from the realms of consciousness. Heavy white dust hung in the air, and Issac did not remember any marble structures near his home. Had he accidentally teleported? The damage to his body from the battle seemed to be gone, but an unfamiliar twinge in his throat caused him to cough briefly. The thick ropey scar across his neck seemed to be new, but with the ravages of his body, who could tell?

Slowly and haltingly, Issac dragged himself to his feet, his homunculus mimicking his movements. Issac thanked the gods. If his chaos familiar had been destroyed, his usual agony would seem pleasant. The shallow pool of blood he slipped in was most definitely his own, his movements tearing his skin as he regained his balance. He hoped no one had been frightened unduly by the spectacle of his... unusual biology. The sun seemed to be midway across the sky, but he had battled in the evening. How long had he been unconscious?

"State your business, stranger." a voice growled.

As the dust settled, Kentaro Maeda, one of the Elders of Genil stood tall. His arms were crossed, his priestly outfit bloodied. The various priestesses of Fuliteach stood around him. He could smell the blood and chaos a mile away, that was what drove him to this spot.

Crimson eyes fell upon the bloody man and his crafted companion. He didn't say anything else, he didn't have to. Introductions would come if the man asked. He was a well known figure throughout the land. If they didn't know who he was, the lycan would assume that the individual was a newcomer.

His priestesses drew near, huddling around the High Priest. Their loyalty was unfaltering. Their patience almost unnerving. They stood in silence, waiting as did their superior. Perhaps the Goddess of Blood and Gore had delivered this man to them personally.

All hope in due time.

Issac started at the harsh voice. Blearily focusing on the figure before him, Issac took in the priestly trappings and unfamiliar holy symbol. The language was unknown to him, but the meaning of the words was perfectly clear to his altered senses.

"No business..." A harsh cough tore out of his wounded throat and interrupted him "...Where? Where am I?" A sudden panic seized him as he frantically looked about in search of his enemy. "It's not safe! Get away! He may still be alive!" The twisting energies of chaos surrounded him as he prepared to throw a protection around the clergy clustered tightly about the priest. Blood leaked from beneath the patch over his bad eye as the magic tore free from his flesh in a glistening web the color of iridescent oil on water.

As the spell surrounded them, the priestesses went to work, disarming the spell. They were very protective of their high priest, and were not clear as to what the man was doing. Kentaro could only smirk, his black hair blowing in the breeze. The smell of blood was carried on the wind, and it made him hunger.

"Calm yourself, stranger. There is no threat here. Well, atleast not in Genil. Whoever you were battling has gained their victory. You're dead, and this is your life after death. Hard to believe, but if there's anyone who would be able to tell you, it would be me. I've been here for more then three hundred years..."

He paused, crossing his arms. This man did not appear to be a threat. However, one always had to be cautious. He would be hesitant in jumping to any conclusions, however. He had to keep an open mind. Each newcomer to the land was someone completely different then the last.

"What's your name?"
