Bits & Bridles
Hey everyone, just wondering if u had any gd tips of what to do with a horse whos really hard to bridle? As soon as the bit touches his mouth and throws his head up in the air outta reach, but if u can open his mouth with ur thumb then he's ok, he'll open it and no worries, but half the time his head is outta reach so it takes quite a while. ne tips? like is it better to give him something to chew on while u do it? im assuming hes difficult coz his previous owner/s must of his his lips and teeth and been a bit rough when they trieed to get him to take the bit.

Well i have never had that problem but you may want to try to warm up his/er bit or try putting something he likes on the bit like sweet feed or peanut butter

Well, when you go to bridle him/her, put your arm through his ears and make his head go down. Then, hold the crownpiece in your hand that is pushing his head down through the ears. Then, take your finger and open his mouth and then when he opens, release. Then, give him a treat, position yourself again and do it over again and then once you open his mouth with your finger, release you finer and open it again and slip the bit in. And give him a treat after!!

These wounds won't seem to heal,
This pain is just too real,
There's just too much that time cannot erase,

When you cried I'd wipe away all of your tears,
When you'd scream I’d fight away all of your fears,
and I held your hand through all of these years,
But you still… have… all of me
