Beautiful Tribute: Can't Cry Hard Enough
Some of you may have seen this, but I just received the link to this site in my email. It is a truly moving and beautiful tribute to the victims. It is long, but worth it. I know as we get back to our normal routines in our daily lives, we spend less and less time thiking about this tragedy. And that's how it should be. Life does go on.
BUT - The danger lies in forgetting what happened, forgetting the pain, the anguish, the shock, the sadness, and in losing the resulting patriotism that we all felt together as one. The danger lies in forgetting the need to stop terrorism. The danger lies in losing our patience as this struggle drags on from months to years. The danger lies in returning to the " Oh it was Horrible, but it will never happen to us (again)" mentality. In the end, we are our own worst enemy. I refuse to give into those dangers, and I plan on returning to that site whenever I start to feel complacent. The faces are burned in my memory. I hope it never goes of line.
