Appearance, March 20, 311
Darkness.
Slowly, light began to come through as Xero opened his eyelids. He suddenly flicked them open quickly, and looked around, gasping. He was in the middle of a forest. He shook his head, trying to clear it. He mentally took a check of what he had. Crystalline armor underneath black cloak? Check. Dimensional pocket still connected to him? Check. Wings ok? Check. He stood up, looking around.
"Where am I..." He mused to himself. Suddenly, memory poured in, and he checked his side. "No wound? But I remember it... the Jrayethi..." A mystery to ponder. "Are the Blades of Balance ok?" In his hand appeared the Blade of Life, the angelic-looking white blade. It softly glowed. "Alright, I have this one..." It disappeared. Xero stood there, trying to summon the other Blades. "They aren't there... somehow I lost them." He frowned, his grim black skin gleaming in the light. His red hair ruffled in the wind, and his red eyes gleamed. "Alright, last I remember... The Jrayethi was struck down by the Blade of Balance, but I was hit by it, and bled to death... Death!" He gasped. "Did I die? Or am I remembering something wrong..." He shook his head again. "The Blades of Balance are missing... Except one. I need a makeshift weapon..."

Re: Appearance, March 20, 311
“You’re not remembering wrong. You’re dead.” The woman lay stretched out on the enormous low lying limb of a live oak tree. Massive, the limb itself must have been over three foot wide with a staggering circumference. Trees like this were all too common in the Mystic Forest, hinting that this world had been here far longer than time measured it to be. Perhaps, though, they’d just sprung up over three centuries and remained there. Maybe this advanced growth was part of the reason this place was referred to as… mystical.
Her curled hair was long enough to almost brush the ground below her as she laid reclined on the branch, her knees bent and her tanned legs bared in the dim light of the forest. The world around her was almost tinted blue from the darkness the canopy provided by not allowing the sun to shine through, the thick leaves blocking its warm rays. With a sigh, the young woman rose from her place and stood, her dress falling back into place almost modestly. Her feet were bare against the lush grass that spread across the forest floor, mingling with ferns and other ground plants. Slim over-all, petite and almost innocent, she smiled at the newcomer with only a hint of the sharp canines in her mouth. She’d always wondered how people appeared in this world but somehow, even though she’d only been feet away, she hadn’t sensed anything until she heard the male speak. Puzzling her right now, was this creature’s appearance and though she’d seen a lot, she hadn’t seen anything quite like him.
With almost a simple curiosity, her rust colored eyes studied him obtrusively. “What was that thing that just disappeared?”

Xero was startled. He had heard absolutely nothing, scented nothing... ah well, even his enhanced senses from his dragon heritage didn't get everything. "That... was the Blade of Life, part of a set of eight swords." He said, figuring that it was best to answer. "I seem to be missing the other seven... they, when together, are known as the Blades of Balance." Suddenly, he grew suspicious. "If I'm dead, then why do I feel... oh, I don't know... not dead?" He blinked once, the golden rune under his right eye gleaming.

Re: Appearance, March 20, 311
Fuliteach shrugged, her bare shoulders moving delicately as she moved around to examine random things in the forest, her feet treading lightly. This place was somewhere she didn’t come to often, for the ghost of a most powerful God than herself lurked somewhere deep within the maze of trees. He locked himself away, she’d heard, and only came out when he hunted. She’d admired Fedafyr once, his stability and order something she craved within the Pantheon. In honesty though, she was an underling of the God of War, sensibility wasn’t quite in the job description. While she desired the ability to not give in to her whims, her very essence was meant to crave the spilling of blood and the violence that went with it. For now, though, she was merely a girl in a forest and no one would ever know the difference unless she told.
“I guess I phrased that wrong, honestly… You died but you’re not dead now. You’ve been given something of a second chance. That’s what I figure anyway.” The dark haired woman bit her lip softly as she moved around, her body unable to hold still at the direct moment. She’d always had a problem understanding the motivations of mortals because she had few motivations herself. The only thing that brought her back to the outskirts of Genil was the protection that the temple offered from the others of her kind that roamed this world, scorned and thrown out of the Pantheon. Knowing she wasn’t supposed to meddle was something that struck the tiniest bit of fear into her, and yet, the adoration and sacrifices of her followers kept her coming back. Perhaps the Mother and Father wanted her to breach the gap between the Green children and the White children. Weren’t they always meant to rule over those on this planet? “So.. Now that you’ve lost your blades what will you do now? Are they really that important?”

"Well, now that I'm no longer in my world, they aren't as vital as they would have been... Eight Gods in my world gave them to me." Xero's eyes narrowed, the red irises' gleaming with anger. "Damn Gods of Balance... If I was going to die they shouldn't have picked me." He sighed, slowly letting go of his anger. "In any case, if anyone else tries to pick them up and use them, they may die. Supposedly unless the chosen wielder of the Blades of Balance permanently dies, the Blades will refuse anyone else using them... and if they could use them..." Xero let out a slow growl. "The swords are extremely powerful, and I wouldn't want them falling into the wrong hands."

“Do you really think they’d follow you here? Who‘s to say that your gods and goddesses didn‘t merely take their weapons back? ” Fuliteach was smiling a little too widely as he spoke of death, almost eerily. Perhaps this being would be someone interesting to watch, if the mere sword he carried could be broken up into eight individual pieces of chaos. For a moment, the memory of the Temple and her High Priest and Priestesses were far from her mind as instinct took over. She showed no visible change as she thought, merely keeping a smile on her face. How strange it must be for this recently arriving person to simply be talking to a random woman in a dark forest about his lost blades. In the same instant, it didn’t seem strange at all to Fuli who had no concept of human decorum or of how one should act in strange circumstances.

"If one was taken back, all would be taken back." Xero explained. "They each have to balance each other's actions out, so their decisions are made as a group. I still hold one weapons, so that means the others are somewhere in this world." Suddenly, a thought struck him. "Wait... why am I even talking to you about this?" He hadn't noticed why, but for some reason, it was easy to talk to this person. Maybe it was because he didn't see anyone else in this world yet... But the other seven Blades had to be found... the Blade of Death, the Blade of Light, the Blade of Darkness, the Blade of Chaos, the Blade of Order, the Blade of Existence, and the Blade of Void. He shuddered to think of what would happen if someone got the Blade of Death...

“I don’t really know…You don‘t have to, you know?” Fuliteach seated herself on the branch once again, crossing her legs pertly. Long spiraling curls fell down and rested in her lap where her hands tangled in them slowly. The rust colored eyes watched the tanned fingers for a moment before they lost interest and returned to the winged figure in front of her. Once again, the teasing, testing smile returned to her face and she raised her dark eyebrows as he shuddered suddenly, consumed in his own thoughts. The cool air chilled her arms only slightly as she spoke, a soft musical voice that held an edge of sensuality. “What bothers you so, blade-holder?”

"If someone finds a way to use the Blades of Balance..." Xero shuddered. "The Blade of Death must be found. The power in it allows it to cut through anything... and I do mean anything. It can even cut through existence if neccessary, though I've no idea what would happen if it did." He made his decision. "I have to make finding it my priority." He glanced around. The forest was too thick for him to fly out of... but he had to get out anyways. "Where is the nearest town?"

Re: Appearance, March 20, 311
“To the north west, you’ll find Genil. The White city is very well protected against intrusions however and if you’re not of the gentle-sort. You could find more trouble there than you’d think. To the south east lies Anarab, the desert city. Temptation lies deeply threaded through its very streets. These are the two closest cities to the forest. However, if you head south west instead, you’ll find Nureese.” As she finished speaking the tug of the Temple and the faintest smell of blood approached her. The need to roam and wander from her makeshift home had passed and the pull of Kentaro’s latest sacrifice was almost too much to bear. Fuliteach’s eyes closed for a moment as she struggled for control, hating the primal feeling and the heat that grew in her body and adoring in the same instant. With a soft sigh the goddess whispered something and was gone soundlessly from the forest, from beneath the canopy of leaves. It was almost as if she had never been there in the first place.

Re: Appearance, March 20, 311
"...Anarab, huh?" Xero mused to himself. "I'd be interested in learning how she did that disappearing trick, but finding the Blades is more important. "To the south-east it is, then... I can travel fast once I get out of these trees." Without a second glance, as soon as he figured out which was was north, he headed south-east, making his way through the forest silently. He hoped not to attract any attention...
Within moments, the area was empty.
