A guild for the weekend warrior
I'm leading a guild on Thunderhorn for the casual players with limited play times called Shadow Guard. We've got plenty of room for a few new swords (and or staves etc) to gang up on stuff and crack skulls with. If this sounds like it might be of interest to you, the Web site is at www.etherealrealms.com. Make sure to put the S on realms or you will be taken to a slightly strange site. (But maybe you would prefer to go to a strange site, in which case go ahead and leave it off!)

Here are a few stats about my guild:

Number of Members: We have between 36 and 40 independent accounts that log in over a 24-hour period. We have a few others who log in sporadically now and then, depending on work schedules.

Level: I have no specific level or other requirements. If you have the right attitude to be a weekend warrior, then you're welcome to join us.

Polite seems too stuffy. I prefer the term good-natured. Guild chat is generally fun and respectful of fellow members. I won't say there isn't ever any cussing or adult topics — but it's usually generally acceptable pg-13 stuff.

Guild Contacts: Mirmandamus, Rubythorne (Silvershine), Argnon, Gabby (Hadaway)

Guild setup: Every member who has been in a while gets promoted to Shadow Stalker. At this rank, you can invite others to the guild, to build a group that plays during your timeframe, suiting your own game interests.

Maturity level: Most of us are adults.

Ventrilo/Teamspeak: Use of this will not be required for raids or guild activities. As it is a third-party program, it is strictly optional and up to the individual players what they want to do.

Server, alignment: Thunderhorn, Alliance. We have discussed the possibility of opening a sister guild for any with hordie alts. We need a dedicated leader for that effort, however.

Time frame: We are mostly CST, but the guild tends to log in rather late at night on weekdays and throughout the day on weekends, so it could work for an EST or PST player too.

Class balance: The guild is fairly balanced class wise. In addition many of us have alts we work on, so we can switch to what is more needed. We could use a few more warriors and dps classes to round things out.

Activities: Five-woman (or man) instances, the occasional LBRS/UBRS raids, as well as strathe, scholo etc for various gear or just to drink and break some chairs because we felt like it.

Future activities: ZG is within reach and I would like to start trying it soon. We need a few more of our members to reach 55 and up first and then we are ready. None of us are in any hurry, by the way, to be end-game ubers. It's more about the journey, with friends, to see the game and while away the time.

If you have any questions, you can post here or at my forum, www.etherealrealms.com, or send me a tell on Rubythorne or Silvershine in game. You can also talk to any of the members about the guild. I'm sure they will give you their honest opinions and tell you what you need to know!

Re: A guild for the weekend warrior
We've decided to add a Horde branch to the guild. The person to talk to about that is Immorella. Tell 'em I sent you.
