11/15 - Club Soda (Kalamazoo, MI)
11/15 - Club Soda (Kalamazoo, MI)

"It's TRUE...there really is a Kalamazoo!" I love that slogan. We only had one show this weekend because Matt and Mike were on a gaming trip in Indiana. Fortunately, they were able to make the trip to meet up with us for this show. It was a very cold night. In fact, the venue was so cold we had to take refuge in the pizza parlor before the show. I believe it was called Bimbo's. Good turkey sandwich. It's hard to believe we have never played in Kzoo so this show was definitely well anticipated. It felt like a sort of homecoming that worked out perfect for us. A ton of old friends showed up for the show along with a nice handful of new fans, not to mention the other half of people there to see the night's headliner, Domestic Problems. Packed crowd, nonetheless, which gave us the perfect amount of energy to feed off of and play a strong set. After a non-typical couple rounds of shots, we took the stage opening with Remembered. We haven't played the song much this Fall, but after opening with it last week in Cleveland, we remembered that it was a nice way to ease into a show. It's a good crescendo song to make the transition into a heavier set. During the song the crowd was in one of those distant half circles around the stage. With a subtle invitation, however, the audience was more than willing to move forward and crowd the stage. From then on it was a non-stop exchange of energy, except for a broken string on Mike's Les Paul early in the set that we covered by doing a solo version of On the Weekend while he re-strung it. After that, we busted into Led Zep's, Rock n Roll, and the intensity never died throughout the entire rest of the set. We really owe the crowd a debt of gratitude. They really kept us on our toes. From our standpoint, we had some minor sloppy moments through the set, which were probably easily overlooked by the audience. Overall, we came out of it pleased with a strong set. Thanks to everyone who came out to support us. We'll be back in Kzoo next semester and hope you'll come back out to party with us again. There was a taper at the show so hopefully we can have that available on our tape trading network soon if it came out alright. Next week, we travel back to Miami University and Michigan State University which is sure to be a good time. See you then!

Set List:

Remembered
Kick
Botherhood
Get In Line
On the Weekend
Rock n Roll
Sanity
Ecstasy
Again
Save the Worms -> Freebird Outro
